About Niagara Region Sexual Assault Centre

The Niagara Region Sexual Assault Centre, Carsa Inc., provides services in a safe and comfortable environment for survivors of child sexual abuse, incest and adult sexual assault.

We offer a 24 hour crisis line, emergency services, individual and group counselling, accompaniment and advocacy through medical and legal proceedings, public education programs and community events.

ALL SERVICES ARE FREE AND CONFIDENTIAL

We are a non-profit, community based organization providing unconditional and nonjudgmental support and empowerment to those who have survived any form of sexual violence.

We believe that any form of sexual abuse is an abuse of power and control and is an act of aggression and violence over an individual. If you or someone you know is a victim of sexual assault, we can help.

We are a member of Ontario Coalition of Rape Crisis Centres and Canadian Association of Sexual Assault Centres.

(C.A.R.S.A., Inc.)

Grant: Three year grant

Amount: $75,000

The Community Leaders Foundation and its members have been long time supporters of the Niagara Region Sexual Assault Centre.  This amazing donation comes at a time when our services are compromised due to lack of financial support.

Our friends of the Community Leaders Foundation responded to our need, for which we are extremely grateful.  Because of their generosity, we are able to respond to our wait list for individual counselling of women and men, by increasing services within our counselling department.

In addition, the Centre will now be able to offer three (12 week) Survivor Counselling Groups. The Community Leaders Foundation has helped us to achieve our goal of meeting the needs of our community.

It is with great appreciation and gratitude, that we thank the Community Leaders Foundation... indeed, they are... Community Leaders!
