Volunteers of NRSAC will be provided the opportunity to participate as co-facilitators in a variety of groups and workshops offered by the centre. (e.g., Drop In Group, Psycho-educational Workshops, Volunteer Trainings)
Volunteers interested in co-facilitating ‘client’ Drop In Groups or ‘client’ Workshops will be required to obtain an application form from the Volunteer Coordinator. Applicants will be interviewed and approved by the Volunteer Coordinator.
Responsibilities
- To actively participate with other co-facilitator in the development and delivery of a group or workshop
- To be responsible for the ‘space’ set up and clean up
- To attend to any unforeseen issues that may arise during the delivery of any group or workshop
- To be responsible for the opening and closure of the ‘space’ used for the group or workshop
Requirements
- Must have successfully completed the Crisis Line Volunteer Training
- Maintain confidentiality as outlines in NRSAC’s Confidentiality Policy.
- Adhere to NRSAC’s policies and procedures, including the Code of Ethics.
- Act within NRSAC’s Vision/Mission Statements
Training
- Attend and complete the orientation session with the Volunteer Coordinator
