Methods of Giving

Monthly

Many of our donors wish to give generously and on an ongoing basis. Monthly Giving allows donors to have their donation deducted each month from their credit card or bank account. By selecting this option, you can easily set up your monthly giving preferences. A tax receipt will be issued at the end of the year and your consistent support allows NRSAC to budget and plan for future programs and services.

Become a Monthly Giving Partner today and join a group of donors who are committed to the future sustainability of the Niagara Region Sexual Assault Centre.

Planned Giving

Thank you for your interest in leaving a legacy to the Niagara Region Sexual Assault Centre.

What is Planned Giving?

Planned Giving is a way for you to support NRSAC by making a commitment to provide funds in the future. Some of the more common types of planned giving include: bequests in your will, charitable remainder trusts and gifts of life insurance, stocks, bonds or real estate. The most common form, making a charitable gift through a bequest in your will, can be done by setting aside a certain dollar amount or leaving a percentage of your estate and/or assets.

Everyone has the ability to leave a gift from their estate. “estate” is simply a work used to describe everything that you own at the time of your death. Most people leave an estate when they die, even though they may not have a great deal of wealth. A charitable bequest will not take effect unless you state your intention in your will.

If you are considering making a planned gift to NRSAC, we would be pleased to meet with you and to recommend next steps. We also encourage to consult with a professional advisor who can tell you about the tax benefits of planned gifts and who will help you put them in place.

Endowment Fund

We are proud to have an endowment fund, Niagara Victim Services Fund, hosted by the Niagara Community Foundation. This fund allows donors to contribute financially to the future sustainability of NRSAC. Capital is held and invested in perpetuity and the expectation is to grow the monetary value over time so that eventually NRSAC will be able to use the investment income to fund core expenses.

If you would like to make a donation to this fund, please designate “endowment Fund” when remitting your payment.

Donating to the Endowment fund is an investment and commitment to the future of the Niagara Region Sexual Assault Centre.
